Promptle (“we”, “us”) is a free daily AI image guessing game. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We try to keep data collection minimal and use plain language.

Summary

Data we collect

Anonymous gameplay data

This data is not linked to your real identity unless you choose to sign in.

Account data (only if you sign in)

If you sign in with Google, we receive from Google and store:

When you sign in, your existing browser-stored stats are synced to your account so they follow you across devices. We take the higher value of any conflicting stats (for example, if your device shows a longer streak than your account, we keep the longer streak).

Server logs

Our hosting provider (Railway) records standard web-server logs, including IP addresses and user-agent strings, for operational and security purposes. These are retained for a short period and not linked to your account.

How we use your data

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not share it with third-party analytics or tracking companies.

Cookies & local storage

Promptle is not directed at children under 13. Google OAuth itself requires users to be at least 13 years old (or older in some jurisdictions). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Our servers are located in the United States. By using Promptle, you consent to your data being processed there. We process personal data only to provide and improve the service.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top. For material changes (for example, adding a new category of data we collect), we'll notify signed-in users by email.
